From the east:  Raleigh, Greensboro,
Winston Salem, Wilkesboro

From the south: Charlotte (via I-85), Hickory, Lenoir

• I-85 south/I-40 west to Winston Salem
• US Hwy 421 North exit toward Yadkinville
• US Hwy 421 North through Yadkinville, through N.
  Wilkesboro, and up the mountain to Boone.
• In Boone take a left onto NC Hwy 105
• Take a left onto US Hwy 321 South (Blowing Rock Rd)
• Go 8 miles to Blowing Rock
• Continue past Tanger Shoppes On the Parkway. The Blowing Rock Visitors Center is  a half mile on the right for information and tickets.

• I-85 south through Gastonia
• US Hwy 321 North through Hickory and Lenoir. Continue up the mountain to Blowing Rock.
• In Blowing Rock,  take a left onto Hwy 321 Business (Main Street) to downtown or continue on US 321 north to the Visitors Center one mile on the left for tickets and information.
  

From the South: Charlotte (via I-77), Statesville

• I-77 North through Cornelius, Lake Norman Area, Statesville.
• At Yadkinville take US Hwy 421 North toward Boone.  
• US Hwy 421 North through Yadkinville, through N. Wilkesboro, and up the mountain to Boone.
• In Boone take a left onto NC Hwy 105
• Take a left onto US Hwy 321 South (Blowing Rock Rd)
• Go 8 miles to Blowing Rock
• Continue past Tanger Shoppes On the Parkway. The Blowing Rock Visitors Center is one mile on the right for information and tickets.
