Blowing Rock Winterfest is an exciting four-day festival complete with a frigid Polar Plunge and a steaming Chili Challenge. Kick off the event on Thursday by joining us at WinterFeast, a culinary extravaganza of the areas finest restaurants hosted by Chetola Resort. Friday, spend time in the area's shops, outlets and galleries scouting our the Winterfest Scavenger Hunt, enjoy free hot chocolate and bonfires at dusk in the park. Have dinner in one of the area restuarants or participate in the Blowing Rock School PTO Spaghetti Dinner and Bingo before attending a live concert. Or take in an early dinner and end the day skiing, ice skating or snowboarding at Appalachian Ski Mountain. Saturday is fun-filled with the Winterfest Polar Plunge at Chetola Resort, the Chili Cook Off at Blowing Rock School, the Wine Tasting and Auction at the Green Park Inn, and more! We have something for all ages — from the Kids Activities (a parade of Dancing Snowflakes, book reading and signing) to Game Shows to Ice Carving Demonstrations. And on Sunday, start your day with the Winterfest Pancake Breakfast, shop a bit and then proceed to the WinterPaws Dog Show at Blowing Rock School and the Snowman Building Contest at Appalachian Ski Mountain.
